RD Bio

RD Bio

The RD Bio comes equipped with a high performance and awarded worldwide biometric sensor for fingerprints reading/validation.

These devices have a RJ12 connector for the cable connection with the controller. The same cable is used for the communication and also for power source, both provided by the controller.

These modules can be controlled online by 4 products:

- IOBoard 3: controls up to 8 modules and is software configurable;

- Turnstile Kit: controls up to 8 modules;

- Evolution: controls up to 1 module;

- OutLock: controls up to 1 module.

The modules have a quick link connector for power sources from 9 to 32 V and another one for door opening by internal relay triggering.

In the module you can connect:

  • - Electromagnetic locks;
  • - Latches;
  • - Door open sensor;
  • - Emergency button;
  • - Violation internal sensor;
  • - Continuous current up to 32V;
  • - UPS 9V.

Access is validated/authorized by the controller and the user realizes the validation/authorization through the bicolor LED and by the sound emited the RD Bio.

  • - 1900 or 9500 fingerprints - number of fingerprints that the module allows you to manage/validate independently;
  • - USB connector - for firmware upgrade;
  • - Proximity sensor - the module comes into operation only when it detects the presence of a finger on the biometric sensor;
  • - Tamper sensor - detects the opening of the module housing and, in this situation, it becomes totally inoperative;
  • - Buzzer - the module indicates performed operations with beeps;
  • - RJ12 connector - for connection and data communication;
  • - Relay - for connection to latches and door locks;
  • - Relay connector + power source - fast performance 4 contact connector;
  • - Power source with wide tolerance - between 9 to 32V;
  • - Signalization LED's - 2 LEDs, one red and one green, indicate the status of the operations or module.
